| "Excellence in Progress!" Downtown revitalization and positive change is an incremental and comprehensive process. Okmulgee Main Street Inc. works diligently everyday to make our downtown the best that it can be for our community. We strive for excellence in everything we do. |

| Our Beginning: |
| Okmulgee Main Street Inc., a 501c-3 non-profit organization, was one of the first three communities to apply for, and be accepted into, the Oklahoma Main Street Program in 1986. When the Program started, there was less than 40% occupancy in lower-level retail space and many of the downtown buildings were falling apart, vacant, and in disrepair. Today, there is 85% occupancy and over 300 rehabilitation projects have taken place in the downtown. New life and excitement has been created in the downtown as well as through numerous special and retail events the Main Street Program plans throughout the year. |

| Our Future: |
| There's still a lot of potential in Downtown Okmulgee, and a lot the Main Street Program wants to focus on for the betterment of our downtown and community. Moving forward, Main Street will be focusing on: upper-floor development, restoration of the train depot, creating new retail and special events for the downtown and community, continued educational and informational projects in Downtown Okmulgee and much more. |
