Henryetta Chapter #175 Order of the Eastern Star is STILL collecting pop tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House as part of the Worthy Grand Matron’s project for 2006. The chapter's first presentation consisted of 46 lbs. 12 oz. to the Worthy Grand Matron.

The chapter received an overwhelming response from the community. The project goes on for the entire 2006 year, so the chapter hopes to make more presentations of the same magnitude.

Many Ronald McDonald Houses work with local recycling centers to receive money for collecting tabs from aluminum cans - including those from soda cans, vegetable and soup cans, and pet food cans.

Henryetta members are asking residents to aid them in this project. Pop tab collection drop off sites are at East Central Electric, 2001 South Wood Drive in Okmulgee or at the Henryetta Masonic Lodge, 115 South 5th Street in Henryetta.
